ChordCodex Terms of Use

Effective July 24, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the ChordCodex app for iOS ("the App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies; where these terms are silent, the standard EULA governs.

License

You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the App except where the law permits.

Your content

Songs, jams, chord presets, grooves, and audio or MIDI files you create with the App belong to you. The App stores them on your device; nothing you create is uploaded to us. Music you produce with ChordCodex — including exports rendered with the App's bundled sounds — is yours to use commercially or otherwise, with no attribution required.

ChordCodex Pro subscriptions

Some features require a ChordCodex Pro subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, billed through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at purchase (monthly or annual) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the App evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the ChordCodex support contact listed on the App Store product page.
